September 15, 2011 Played the piano at an award ceremony (RTV wertvoll Preis) where Armin Müller Stahl got the main award. I played themes from TV-shows and commercials like "Lindenstraße", "Schwarzwaldklinik" and "Derrick".

August 30, 2011 as "DJ Olov" The new Club "Kater Holzig" (formerly Bar 25) is a good place to start a long lasting DJ career. Live Band: Dixie Wankers. It was a great Berlin-Style-Swing Dance Party.

produced the music for the trailer "920 miligray", a post apocalyptic drama directed by Daniel Bachler.

produced music and sound design for the i phone Game "Pudding Panic" by kunststoff Berlin in colaboration with Brendan Dougherty / Knorke Sound. The game entered the to 10 i phone app charts quickly and can be downloaded at the app store for just 0,99 EUR.

 

October 2010
composed the score for Marc Metzger's new short film "Nachmieter", which is an interesting colaboration of polish and german filmmakers and actors. The story is settled in the polish-german area right after World War II.

Olaf Taranczewski receives the award for BEST FILM MUSIC at Kinofest, Lünen for the music of the documentary ANNE PERRY - INTERIORS by Dana Linkiewicz.

 

PREIS FÜR DIE BESTE FILMMUSIK
Um den Stellenwert der Musik im Film zu unterstreichen, vergab zum dritten Mal eine Fachjury den Preis für die beste Filmmusik. Der Preis ist mit 2.500 Euro dotiert, gestiftet von der Lüner Kanzlei Skok. Die Filmkomponisten Karim Sebastian Elias und Dieter Schleip sowie der Regisseur Peter Timm zeichnen den Dokumentarfilm "Anne Perry - Interiors" von Dana Linkiewicz aus. Sie waren einstimmig der Meinung, dass der Komponist Olaf Taranczewski den richtigen Ton für diesen Film getroffen hat:
„Anne Perry wurde als junges Mädchen im Alter von 15 Jahren zur Mörderin. Diese Tat zieht sich wie ein dunkler Schatten durch ihr ganzes Leben. Behutsam nähert sich Dana Linkiewicz Schritt für Schritt diesem Geheimnis. Mit reduzierten musikalischen Mitteln schafft es der Komponist Olaf Taranczewski die beklemmende Atmosphäre des Films zu verdichten. Mit ruhiger Intensität entwickelt seine Kammermusik eine eindringliche Kraft, die dem Zuschauer hilft die verstörende und traurige Stimmung im unmittelbaren Lebensumfeld Anne Perrys sinnlich zu erfassen."
